World Land Trust Hall of Fame

Year 4 were delighted to hear that our fundraising efforts have been featured on the World Land Trust’s Hall of Fame!  Kelly Jacobs, Education, Outreach and Training Officer for WLT wrote, ‘I thought that you would like to know that the great awareness and fundraising activities of the Year 4 Meerkats have now been added to the Hall of Fame on the World Land Trust website. They have a page dedicated to their efforts.    I was very impressed with the blog, and as you can see I have recommended it on this page.  Please pass on my congratulations to the pupils, along with my thanks that should have arrived with the certificate by now.’  Please follow the link to visit the Hall of Fame!

Earth Caretakers

The Year 4 Bengal Tigers have been working hard on their Earth Caretakers project.  This project draws together articles from four schools around the world, including our own, focusing on the environment.  Current Year 4 pupils were inspired by the work of last year’s Year 4 Meerkats and have written articles about what they did.  You can read our e-book at by clicking on the book cover below.    Enjoy!

Palm Oil Petition to the European Parliament

The Pedmore Meerkats have just sent off a petition from 159 children and staff to urge the European Parliament to vote on 1st July FOR a new law so that manufacturers will label whether their products contain palm oil. Pedmore Meerkats win TOTAL Green School Award
